Default GW needs to keep ppl under lvl 10 out

of Augury Rock. I'm sick of seeing guilds carrying people's level 3 and 4 alts to Augury to ascend. If you're that desperate to cheat buy a Monopoly game and play alone. Don't do it in a CORPG. It's bad enough certain guilds have 3-4 slots of the ladder hogged up with bogus alter names of themselves. Negative Zero, Positive Zero etc etc. If you honestly play thru the missions and get to Augury Rock a little early, fine.

Having a bunch of 20s rush you thru and ascending at level 3 or 4 is totall bullshit and cheats the whole premise of the game and the story. Flame on it won't change my mind. Yes this is my opinion, you don't have to agree with it.

If you don't agree , give me valid reasons why. Not BS like I already did 2 chars the right way and I'm bored. I have 3 chars ascended so far and none had any help to cheat the system.

As long as I don't need to party with them, I couldn't care less.

Let them do what they want, I say. If it doesn't affect my parties or my game-time, it's no biggie.

I don't care about them.
Let them boost themselves as much as they want.
Remember; it's about skill

wtf is it to you Maegi? How does it affect you in any way? You mad that you have to grind through the game? Cant see why someone would get so upset over something that they shouldnt even pay attention too. You have anger issues? Bet you are one to road rage too, if something this so insignificant can bother you that much lol.

Sounds like you have the anger problem my friend. I never insulted anyone or implicated in any way that I was upset or angry. I simply think the game should be played the way it was designed. If ArenaNet wants to add an option to let those of us that have ascended at least once to bypass the storyline and simply ascend then I would not have a problem with that.

Until that happens though, I feel like it's a cheat. People that say it doesn't affect you, you must not be planning to compete on the ladder system. If you do plan to participate in guild vs guild and/or have a guild hall, then it DOES affect you.

I'm not mad and I won't quit playing whether they change it or they don't. I do however, have a right to my opinion. If you disagree with me that's your right too.

Road rage? Yeah I have gotten upset when someone swerves into my lane and causes me to slam on the brakes or endangers my family's lives. Did I chase them and wave a gun at them? No. don't have a gun. Didn't get mad. What this has to do with my original post? Not a damn thing. You brought it up because you want to be a troll. Go back under the bridge.

While I understand Maegi's point, And I agree with it to a point. I also feel that it is you choice weather or not you group with these people or not. Who knows after you ascend 3 or 4 characters the right way I could see some of these missions/quest just become a going though the motions experiance, and I think we all can agree that is something this game is never suppose to be. I know that I helped freinds and other people run through the "Ashes" quest soo many times that it is really mind numbing to do anymore... at least unless I solo the whole thing...

I was just saying that if something so miniscule could bother you so much that you have to start a post about it in a ranting fashion lead me to believe you would be prone to rage if someone did something real bad to you like accidentally nudge you on the street as you both walk by.

Im reminded of people with obsessive compulsive disorder. But rather it a case of being neat freak its seeing /20 over peoples head that makes you feel comfortable and seeing /4 over the heads gets you going all kooky. Weird. I know.. Its what you really sound like though. Im amazed ive taken time outta my important day to actually respond to this thread and all the kookiness that???s going on here.

Im ending this on a note. I promise you that after I go through the game 2 times with my current characters ill will create one character for the sole purpose of trying to get to the end with the least amout of levels I possibly can. Not cause its cheating, cause I like that challenge. Oh, and I promise ill help someone else to do this that wants to as well.

Ascending multiple characters simply to obtain additional skills for PvP is tedious, and any shortcuts are welcome. I saw a forum post regarding "Lulu the Monk"s level 3 ascension and I saw a lot of "Lulu the Monk's team has held the Hall of Heroes" yesterday. Complaining about people rushing guildmates in this manner is just another variant of "please make the PvP players grind more before they can play", and we've done that discussion to death.

Just a quick question... How can a character get to Augury and still be sooooo low? Wouldn't they at least have leveled up to 5 or 6, even blasting through the missions?

Hmmm, let me see... If you get a 1000 pts per mission and you multiply that by x number of missions, carry the 2, divide by 3... Well you get the point?

Come on. Isn't the level 3 character at Augury Rock just an urban myth? Am I missing something? (Wouldn't be the first time, of course.)

Exclamation down with low lvls!! they should all suffer a horrid death!

i find this post fun and amusing!!

i still wouldnt mind knowing exactly what the point is here. how does low lvl toons effect anything in pvp? i mean really, can you explain this even further then you have? right now im just understanding that you dislike people assending at low lvls but do not fully explain how a low lvl that has been rushed truely effects you or this game, let alone pvp or pve, well... pve thats a duh, they wouldnt be any help, just fodder fire, but still to the point. please explain just how all this is effecting you or anyone for this matter.

also, on a side note, you do come off bitter in your posts, and i understand why so many are saying so. its not really the subject at hand, but how you speak of it.

and really now, do you actually think road rage only effects you while on the road?

and what exactly is with people falming ones opinon??? whats up with that? i mean really now, cant you be more creative then flameing a guy for just stating how he feels about something? maybe give some imput or some insight on the matter? such childish things makes me wounder if mankind will ever be as one.

Actually I thought so too until I saw a lvl 3 Ranger/Monk running around the Dunes of Despair. I took a screenshot of it too. I would've assumed the missions would have made the person level up or something, unless they walked the whole way.

I find it incredibly odd that what hes posting about bugs him so much lol. There are many other grievances in guild wars and he posts about seeing low levels in high level areas. lol, it cracks me up.

You can get to augury by running from Ascalon City to Sanctum Cay through the explorable zones. I did it with a friend who also started a new character and some henchmen. I ascended at level 11 (I used pick up groups to complete the trials). Maybe I could have done it at a lower level because we did some skill quests for fun...

If you had to build a character for PvP and do ALL of the missions again, a lot more people would say that it cheats the whole premise of "no grind" that GW has.

You say people should play the game as it was designed.

If you read the back of your cd cover, you'll see the game is designed to put everyone on equal ground in pvp, letting skill matter and not time played.

Running people through the game lessens time played to be competative and as such, doesn't interfere with how the game was designed.

It's not the level 3s that threaten anything. The point is Augury Rock is where you ascend. So the level 3 becomes a level 20 by defeating the mirror. I would not have thought that a level 3 could even hope to beat the mirror, but it happens daily I'm told.

It's the bigger picture that bothered me. I'm not upset that someone that knows the game inside and out can avoid a few missions if they want to. It's the same guilds pushing the level 3s to 20s in a day that are also making bogus guilds to hog all the top spaces of the guild ladder.

I don't know if my guild or your guild would ever be #1, but what I am saying is these 3 or 4 guilds that have made bogus guilds are hogging all the top 10 spots on the ladder.

Thats not game breaking. It's just crap. If your guild is good enough to be #1, then Huzzah for you for doing so. Why do you then need to create 2 or 3 more guilds to hog up more top spots?

It's really wierd. Nearly all MMOs I care, I get all fussy and holier than thou about power levelers...but in GWs it doesn't bother me at all. I suppose it's because the game seems to be more about the journey than the destination
